Daily Wellington Walks

Take a walk - Every day at 10.00am ... Daily Wellington Walks give you an excellent introduction into this exuberant, walkable city and its people. Our guides have a deep knowledge and love of Wellington and enjoy helping to make your visit an absolutely positively fantastic experience. During the summer (November through March) take advantage of Wellington's long days with an evening walk on Monday, Wednesday or Friday at 5.30pm.

We recommend that you take one of these walks at the start of your stay because then we can give you lots of information that will help you to make the most of the rest of your time in Wellington.

Walks take 90 - 120 minutes. We walk rain or shine, so it's best to dress to suit the weather.
Daily Wellington Walks leave from the i-SITE Visitor Centre in Civic Square.
Look for the guide in the bright, green vest! Our stand is just inside the doors on the left.

Our 10.00am walks feature Civic Square, the waterfront, Plimmer's Ark, Queen's Wharf, Lambton Quay, The Old Government Buildings, Parliament, Old St. Paul's Cathedral and more. Your guide will also consider any special interests you have and alter their route if possible to take these in.

Our 5.30pm walks feature Civic Square, the waterfront, The Old Bank Arcade, Queen's Wharf, Lambton Quay, Courtenay Place, The Embassy Theatre and more.
